E-Waste Recycling Event Feb. 27th at Ossining Farmers Market
Local environmental group, Green Ossining, hosts electronics recycling. Visit market for cooking demonstration, too, from 10am-noon.
Down to Earth Markets welcomes Green Ossining for the first of two winter e-waste drives at the Ossining Farmers Market. (The other is planned for Saturday, March 12th.) Here’s your chance to do a little post-holiday/pre-Spring clean-up! Please note, only these items will be accepted at this time:
- Computers (laptops & desktops, servers, mainframes) - NOT monitors!
- Printers, scanners, fax-machines, copiers, etc.
- Network devices (routers, hubs, modems, etc.)
- Peripherals (keyboards, mice, cables, cords, chargers, etc.)
- Tablets and e-readers, iPod
- Components (hard drives, CD-ROMs, circuit boards, power supplies, etc.)
- VCRs, DVRs, DVD & Blu-ray Players
- Digital Converter Boxes, Cable/Satellite Receivers
- Portable music players and audio-visual equipment
- Video-games
- Cell phones, pagers, PDAs
- Telecommunication (phones, answering machines, etc.)
- Ink and Toner Cartridges
All donations will be disposed of responsibly. We thank our friends at Green Ossining for bringing this great event to the market.
Also, while you shop at the market, be sure to stop by to sample a taste of what the season has to offer. Joanne Witmyer, a student in an integrative nutrition coaching program is excited to spread the word about wellness and nutrition. She will share her winter recipe from 10 am to noon.

The Ossining Farmers Market is located indoors at the First Presbyterian Church, 34 S. Highland Avenue, every Saturday through March. Market hours are 9 am - 1 pm - see you there!
