OSSINING, NY, DECEMBER, 2011 – Just in time for the holidays, the Ossining Arts Council (OAC) and Transitions Ossining, a local group devoted to fostering sustainability, will co-host an arts and crafts fair at the Ossining Firehouse, 117 Main Street, Ossining.  The event will open on Dec. 6 from 5-8PM, coinciding with the lighting of Ossining’s Christmas tree, and will continue through Dec. 11.

Artists and craftspeople in the following areas are invited to participate:  painting, drawing, prints, photography, jewelry, handmade ornaments, ceramics, plants and clothing.  No item should be priced higher than $250. Space is limited.

“This is a great opportunity for local artists and crafts people to showcase their wares,” said OAC President Mark Sarazen.  “We’re delighted to be working hand-in-hand with Transitions Ossining.” The Transition group will be offering for sale gifts of local honey as well as certain cosmetics.

Please visit the Ossining Art Council’s website at ossiningartscouncil.org to register and for additional information.
