Teen Show Choir at the Croton Academy of Arts

The Croton Academy of Arts is piloting a new show choir program this spring for Teenagers in grades 8 - 12.   The show choir will meet Saturdays, April 21 - June 16 from 2 - 5 pm.

The CAA Show Choir is for students  serious about singing and performing or looking to improve their voice and performance technique.   This program will be taught by  accomplished Musical Director, experienced voice teacher and musical composer, George Croom.   The class will be broken into three components; 1. Vocal and physical training 2. Song study  3. Final performance rehearsal.  At the end of the session, there will be a performance for the public.    It is our goal to form a show choir that may compete in choir competitions for those students who are interested.  We will also have alternatives for students who are not interested in competing.

The Croton Academy of Arts is a non-profit performing arts school located in the heart of Croton on Hudson.  The academy offers classes for all ages in acting, Zumba, sketch writing,  and has developed the very popular comedy improvisation program "caca."  In addition, Croton Academy of Arts has a Teen Repertory Theater program and a Children's Repertory Theater program.  We are very excited to expand our program with this very valuable class.
