Work will be done at night to minimize disruption.

OSSINING, NY — The Village of Ossining Water Department will start the semiannual hydrant-flushing program the evening of Oct. 3.
Flushing of hydrants will be performed between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. in order to minimize disruptions to residents.
Village officials said the work will start west of Route 9, in the Low Service District. Once that's done, crews will begin working on the east side of Route 9 in the Lakeville and Torbank Service Districts.
