Join Legislator Catherine Borgia and Be Heard This Monday, May 11th, at a Public Hearing at the Westchester County Board of Legislators

Please join Westchester County Legislator Catherine Borgia and lend your voice for a public hearing on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 7:30 pm at the Westchester County Board of Legislators, 148 Martine Ave., 8th Floor, White Plains. The hearing, for which the public is encouraged to participate, is on a bill which would include e-cigarettes and other electronic nicotine delivery devices in Indoor Workplace Smoking laws.

Compelling evidence exists of potential harm associated with the use of electronic cigarettes and other electronic nicotine delivery devices, which raises public health concerns for primary and secondary exposure.

This legislation does not prohibit the use of any of these products, but rather just asks that the same clean indoor air rules which apply to burnt tobacco products also apply to e-cigarettes and other electronic nicotine delivery devices.

Westchester helped to set the standard for clear air in the workplace over 10 years ago, now let’s ensure we are doing everything we can to maintain this clear air standard.
