Kids Keep Growing this SAT at Ossining Organic Community Garden
From 3-4 pm on June 13 - Bring the seedlings you started at the Ossining Farmers Market to add into the community garden!

Remember when we planted seeds at the Ossining Farmers Market on May 30th? Well, now we’re ready to transfer those little guys and start a garden at the Ossining Organic Community Garden.
Join us from 4-6 pm this Saturday, June 13th, when we’ll plant the seedlings and enjoy stories, vegetable tastings, and more. The garden is located in Cedar Lane Park at 190 Cedar Lane. Come one, come all!
Also this Saturday is the Ossining Village Fair! In celebration, some of the community’s favorite farmers market vendors will offer their foods to enjoy on site. Please find our mini-market on the south side of Main Street, in lots 168 - 171, around the corner from the weekly farmers market location.

Come hungry for foods from Meredith’s Country Bakery (yes, regular and gluten-free), delicious Mexican tastes from Santo Burrito, and sizzling kabobs and more from Nana’s Home Kitchen.
Down to Earth Markets will be present alongside the food vendors and selling our new items: Down to Earth Markets t-shirts, Local Food Seasonal Wheels (inquiring minds who want to know...please ask!), and reusable produce bags.

From 2:30-4:30 pm at the Ossining Village Fair, we’ll make room in the Down to Earth Markets tent for Chef Maria Reina. She’ll cook up a recipe inspired by the early June harvest. You may recognize her from her popular column in LoHud.com, Seasonal Chef. This week, she wrote that she’s “beyond excited” for the farmers market season ahead. Chef, we have that in common. We’re so happy she’s beginning her 2015 season of local food & creativity with us this weekend! See you there.
