Letter to the Editor: D'Attore for Ossining Town Council

The election is Tuesday, Nov. 3.

There are a number of qualities about Ossining that make it such a desirable place to live. The strong level of activism among individuals and organizations alike demonstrates a commitment to giving back and working together so that residents from all economic levels have opportunities to thrive. It is a quality that I personally value, and one that I appreciate in a candidate running for elected office. For this reason I am writing to publicly support the candidacy of Karen D’Attore for Ossining Town Council.

Karen is the Executive Director of IFCA Housing Network. As an IFCA board member I have observed her professionalism as well as her strong management skills of balancing budget constraints in the face of growing demands for services. She is an effective communicator and demonstrates great capacity to work collaboratively to find solutions that are sustainable and financially sound.

Karen has deep roots in Ossining. She and her family have lived in the Town for 24 years and her sons are graduates from Ossining schools. Karen values the community’s rich history while advocating for the opportunities that lie ahead.
