Letter To The Editor: Endorsing Herrera For Ossining Mayor

I confidently endorse Omar Herrera for the position of Village of Ossining Mayor. His well-known commitment to accountability in government will promote an atmosphere of fairness, as I have often witnessed from this tireless advocate in the past. I have seen him reach out to members of our diverse population, to those who may otherwise be excluded or passed over in our community. I feel it is important to notice and respect the loyalty and devotion he has already demonstrated as a village Trustee and volunteer in Ossining for many years.

On a personal note – Omar co-produced a concert with me at The Paramount Hudson Valley, back in 2014. Needless to say, that enormous theatre sold out, and I have never witnessed such a hard working professional and problem-solving partner in business. He put his heart and soul into the project as we involved over 350 local school-aged musicians and dancers from 10 different schools. We worked together with many different personalities and talent levels and I observed ‘first hand ‘ his incredible work ethic and his outstanding ability to organize and pull people together. These are all traits that we should hope for in a man representing our community.
I am writing to support Omar Herrera’s campaign and it is my intention to vote for him in the upcoming election. I am supporting him and through this endorsement, desire to spread the word to others of the value and power of his political beliefs, in addition to his passion that will surely make our precious community run smoothly.
