Letter To The Editor: Murphy's Self-Promotion Was Inappropriate

To the editor,

I have three words for my fellow Crotonites and those living in SD40 concerning our NY State Senator Terence Murphy - VOTE HIM OUT! Murphy, a politician who has pushed voter ID laws - which are known to suppress minority votes - used the recent attention given to our village regarding the white supremacist flyers found and subsequent “LOVE Croton has no room for hate” response to promote himself.

Murphy’s emailed response was reminiscent of Trump's “two sides” response to Charlottesville. He says we were targeted because we are progressive and he failed to identify the Indentity Europa group as a white supremacist group. Further he smacked his name on a “Love over hate” sign - basically copying the artists' signs in our village and making them his own. Croton has no room for hate is right and therefore Croton has no room for Murphy!

Vote him out!
