Local Author featured at BookCon in NYC
Briarcliff author invited to the annual celebration of book lovers, authors, and excited fans

Briarcliff Author Jane F. Collen was invited to feature her children’s books,The Enjella Adventure Series, at Book Con 2015, a popular event hosted by the same organizers as Comic Con. Book Con gives readers and fans the chance to meet the authors of their favorite works. Mrs. Collen was invited after winning two prestigious Benjamin Franklin Book Awards early last month.
The Enjella Adventure Series follows the witty Tooth Fairy Enjella as she learns how to share her magic. The stories include wonderfully engaging pictures and stories about real life problems set in a fantasy world. “Fun, adventure and magic,” Mrs. Collen says is especially important to her. “For me, the story is the hook that pulls kids into the magic and power of reading.”
The books have won numerous awards including the eLit Award for Excellence in Digital Literature and the Mom’s Choice Book Awards. Mrs. Collen also hosts a website, facebook page, and twitter account where kids can find vocabulary games, information about author appearances, daily updates on the world of Enjella.

Mrs. Collen was also invited to the Book Expo, a private writers conference that leads up to Book Con on May 30th and 31st. The events are filled with rising stars, like Mrs. Collen, as well as authors like John Greene, Judy Blume, and R.L. Stine. “What a magical adventure it is for me, to be rubbing elbows with authors whose works I have known and loved for years.”
