Make Music Day a Success in Ossining
MIke and Miriam Risko hosted a group guitar lesson and jam.
Ossining participated in Make Music Day at Mike Risko Music today with a group guitar lesson and jam.
Ossining was one of the 700 communities across the country that was a part of this celebratory day, which is always held on the longest day of the year.
Mike Risko taught the guitar players a few chords and songs provided by the Make Music Foundation. By the end of the two hour free program, the guitar players were playing Sweet Home Alabama and Bubbly.

Make Music Day or fete de la musique was established 32 years ago in Paris with the goal of making music for free for everyone.
Mike and Miriam Risko signed Ossining up to be one of the 700 communities to participate and are looking forward to making the event even bigger in years to come. “It was a great way to spend Father’s Day,” said Mike Risko.
