“It’s a great feeling to be able to fund enriching programs,” says Ossining MATTERS president Margie DeAngelis. “Thanks to our community, this benefit raises a lot of the money for these programs. I hope everyone comes out for a fun evening that benefits Ossining students.”
Jambalaya Brass Band are seasoned New York purveyors of authentic American “roots” music who play a delightfully spicy musical gumbo of New Orleans fare, from Jelly Roll Morton and Louis Armstrong to Rebirth and Dirty Dozen brass bands. Their modern sounds incorporate elements of R&B, Gospel, Funk, Zydeco, Latin, Hip-Hop and Bebop. This tight and tasty ensemble is the ultimate New Orleans Jazz party band.
After the concert, Ossining MATTERS will host a reception for premium ticket holders. The gathering, featuring refreshments plus live and silent auctions, will be held at the Ossining Public Library. With a total of more than 100 different items--all donated by individuals and businesses within our community and beyond--the auction will include sports tickets, spa treatments, treasured experiences with teachers, limited edition artwork, gift certificates to local restaurants, Broadway tickets and other exceptional offerings. And Ossining MATTERS will once again offer an online auction.
