Ossining School District's Summer Lunch Program Starts July 2

The lunches are available at two sites this year: Ossining High School and the Ossining Public Library.

The Ossining School District’s Summer Lunch Program, which provides free meals to school-age children, starts July 2 and runs weekdays through Aug. 24. It will not be offered on the July 4 holiday.

The Summer Food Service Program will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ossining High School, 29 South Highland Ave.; and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave. There is no charge for children 18 and under.

Ossining schools are offering the federally funded Summer Food Service Program in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture. Summer meals programs are designed to make sure children get the nutritious meals they need when school is out so they’re ready to learn when they return in the fall.
