President Obama Rejected by Local Golf Courses: News Report

Sources tell NBC New York that club officials weren't willing to bump their members.

Over Labor Day weekend, President Obama’s request to play at one of the Hudson Valley’s elite golf courses was rejected by club managers, according to a report on Channel 4, NBCnewyork.com.

Among the clubs with closed doors: Trump National Golf Course in Briarcliff Manor, Winged Foot in Mamaroneck and Willow Ridge in Harrison, according to Channel 4.

“Club managers apparently did not want to inconvenience their high-powered and high-paying members over Labor Day weekend by shutting down their courses to accommodate the president,” Jonathan Dienst wrote on NBCnewyork.com.
