SAT 6/27: Cherries & Blueberries & Ossining Public Library at Ossining Farmers Market

Mead Orchards will have sweet cherries; outlook good for blueberries, too!

This morning we spoke with Mead Orchards and they said they are planning to bring cherries and blueberries to the market this week! Wright‘s Farm will have sweet cherries at the Croton-on-Hudson Farmers Market on Sunday as well. To celebrate the season, we‘re loving this recipe for Cherry and Rhubarb Compote by Chef Emily Casey. We hope you enjoy it, too.

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 27th, the Ossining Farmers Market will welcome talented crafters from the Ossining Public Library to make farm animal finger puppets. Kids of all ages are invited to gather ‘round the managers tent from 10 am to noon to join in the creativity. Also from 10 am to noon, Rachel Alexander will serenade the market with her beautiful violin music.

Every week, the market features delicious fruits and vegetables, pasture-raised meat, poultry, and eggs, as well as breads, pickles, cheese, baked goods, prepared foods to go, and yummy foods to enjoy right at the market.
