Voice Your Opinion at a Student & Public Speak-Out on College Campus Sexual Assault sponsored by Legislator Catherine Borgia

Please join Legislator Catherine Borgia for an open dialogue on issues regarding campus sexual assault from 6-8pm on Wednesday July 29th.

As the issue of campus sexual assault in New York colleges and universities becomes increasingly prevalent, it is vital that we have effective policies in place to protect our students. Governor Cuomo’s recently enacted “enough is enough” legislation is a positive step forward.

We’ve heard opinions from a number of elected officials, but we believe it’s important to hear the student and public perspectives on this very important issue. To better understand what the issues and new policies are, Westchester County Legislator Catherine Borgia will be hosting an opportunity for members of the public, whether they are students, faculty, or concerned parents, to voice their concerns on this important topic.

Please join Westchester County Legislator Catherine Borgia for an open dialogue on issues regarding campus sexual assault from 6-8pm on Wednesday, July 29th in the Davis Auditorium at Westchester Community College. This is your opportunity to share your experiences and comments on campus sexual assault policy.

Legislator Borgia, and other invited guests, will open with an overview of the issues at hand and outline what solutions are being worked on to help combat this growing crisis. After this opening, the microphone will be turned over to any member of the public who wants to share an experience, suggestion, or other concern regarding this topic.

For additional information on this speak out, or if you are interested in attending or participating, please contact Joseph Sgammato at (914) 995-2812 or jns4@westchestergov.com
