New York American Water Acquires Mill Neck Estates Water System in Nassau County
State's Largest Investor-Owned Water Utility Continues Growth in Long Island

New York American Water today announced that the New York Public Service Commission has approved the company’s acquisition of the Mill Neck Estates Water System in the Village of Mill Neck, NY. New York American Water will provide the systems’ 93 customer accounts with water service. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.
This acquisition continues the expansion of the company’s operations within its historical Nassau County, Long Island base.
“Our new customers in Mill Neck Estates will benefit from an increased level of operational and engineering expertise, as well as our demonstrated commitment to make the necessary capital investment to ensure their water service meets, and routinely surpasses, state and federal water standards,” said Brian Bruce, president of New York American Water.
