Friends of the Bay drops 20,000 clams into Oyster Bay to restore shellfish populations (news12.com) — Right in Oyster Bay's sanctuary waters, 20,000 adult hard clams were released Friday to boost shellfish populations and naturally filter the bay. Friends of the Bay partnered with Town of Oyster Bay officials and local baymen, expanding on last spring's effort to improve water quality and support the community's shellfishing heritage.

Courage of New Sailors (newportthisweek.com) — Young sailors trained through Oakcliff Sailing in Oyster Bay are crewing the famed 12‑meter yacht Courageous in this weekend's North American championship in Newport. The team mixes MET School students and Oakcliff graduates, giving local sailors a high‑profile chance to compete against top international talent on one of the sport's most storied boats.
   

5. Sea Cliff set to hold second annual triathlon (liherald.com) — Sea Cliff's second annual triathlon is returning this month, with the Town of Oyster Bay helping support operations at nearby Tappen Beach. Local athletes and families from Oyster Bay and neighboring communities can tackle a short swim-bike-run course, while proceeds also benefit bicycling and environmental groups connected to Hempstead Harbor.
