Their PSAT performance places them among the top academic achievers nationwide, highlighting the strong scholastic performance coming out of Oyster Bay's own high school this year.

• Oyster Fest returns to Oyster Bay Oct. 17 and 18 (libn.com) — Oyster Fest returns to downtown Oyster Bay and Theodore Roosevelt Park on October 17–18, bringing oysters, food trucks, rides, live music, and a new shell-recycling program. With up to 200,000 visitors expected, locals should plan for limited parking, consider shuttle options, and may even volunteer to support shellfish restoration and community nonprofits.

• Postal update provided in Glenwood Landing (liherald.com) — Residents in Glenwood Landing, much of which lies in the Town of Oyster Bay, are pushing the Postal Service to reconsider home mail delivery and are gathering detailed property records from both Oyster Bay and North Hempstead. Organizers hope accurate household counts and a 400-plus-signature petition will persuade federal postal officials to review the community's long-standing delivery setup.
