“Thank you so much to Nassau County Legislator Josh Lafazan and Project Angel Island for this generous donation of safety gear for our staff and members,” said Melissa A. Rhodes, Director of Programs and Professional Development for Grenville Baker Boys and Girls Club. “As we embark on the reopening of our afterschool program in September, these masks and gloves will be instrumental in keeping everyone safe and healthy so that we can focus on our mission to provide highly engaging learning and mentoring opportunities for our kids and teens.”
“We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Legislator Josh Lafazan for helping us coordinate this donation!” Iris Fan said. “Our team was inspired to create reusable masks to provide a more sustainable option for civilians while leaving medical grade masks for healthcare professionals back in March. Now, we’re glad to have the opportunity to donate supplies to the Grenville Boys & Girls Club. The health and safety of our community come September is an important cause to us as students, and we hope our masks can help accomplish this.”
