Advisory Issued Against Bathing in Patchogue, Corey Beaches
The Suffolk County Department of Health Services issued an advisory against bathing at local beaches due to heavy rains Tuesday.

Patchogue Village Pool and Beach and Blue Point's Corey Beach are among 67 beaches across Suffolk County that the Suffolk County Department of Health Services have advised against bathing in Tuesday.
The advisory is due to Tuesday's heavy rainfall, and the expected additional rainfall for Wednesday. The advisory states that the potential for bacterial numbers exceeding New York State standards from the heavy rain will impact these areas.
The advisory will remain in affect until Thursday at 10 p.m., as long as elevated levels of bacteria are not found by the department 24 hours after rainfall has completed.
