Ex-Officio Student Member Appointed To BOE
Erica Calderon will be on the Board of Education as a non-voting member; Homecoming 2012 theme will be "Pixar Magic."
Patchogue-Medford High School senior Erica Calderon was sworn in as the ex-officio student member of the Board of Education for the 2012-2013 academic year at Monday's Board of Education meeting at South Ocean Middle School.
The ex-officio member will not have voting rights, but will report from a student perspective at the Board of Education business meetings.
Calderon announced that the annual Raider Bowl, a competition among the high school classes, is taking place on Thursday night at the high school.

She also announced that this year's Homecoming theme is "Pixar Magic." According to the school district's website, the Homecoming game is Oct. 20 at 2 p.m.
