ICYMI: Woman Kept Animals In Deplorable Conditions: SPCA

In case you missed it, here's a story that appeared last week in Patchogue Patch:

PATCHOGUE, NY - A Patchogue woman was charged with animal cruelty on Sunday for allegedly keeping a 5-year-old German Shepard and other animals in deplorable conditions, according to the Suffolk County SPCA.

Detectives went to the Brookhaven Animal Shelter to investigate after Suffolk Police responded to a complaint that there was possibly an emaciated dog and other animals inside of the Kathryn Street home. Police reported that the dogs were found living in deplorable conditions inside the home.

The dogs were taken to the Brookhaven Animal Shelter by Animal Control Officers and the SPCA detective that went to inspect found that one of them, a German Shepherd named Ryker, appeared to be extremely thin.
