New Country Club To Take Over Hoptron Brewtique In Patchogue

PATCHOGUE, NY - HopTron Brewtique in Patchogue will soon be getting a new name and a completely new look as well.

The new owners announced on Facebook recently that the former pub will be transformed to a Nashville-themed country club. The new Southern rock bar will be called Daisy Dukes.

The bar is located in Patchogue's popular downtown area on 22 W. Main Street.

The business is also currently hiring experienced bartender. Resumes can be sent to info@daisydukesli.com.

There is still no word on an official opening date. A message on the website just reads "coming soon."

HopTron's owners, who opened the bar in 2012, announced in a statement that they will be stepping down to "personal health issues." The bar has become a staple in Patchogue, and the owners still plan to be active in the community.

First, unfortunately due to personal health issues in our families, Su and I have made the sad decision to step away from Hoptron so that we can focus on what’s best for everyone involved. It wasn’t an easy decision but it was the only one that had to be made. We have transferred Hoptron Brewtique to the new owners who will run it as we did for the near future; however, just like buying a new house, these new owners will make changes to this new enterprise as they see fit (you don’t buy an old house and not take out some trees!). Will it be the old Hoptron it used to be? In the long term, no- and that’s ok. We had a great run, we ran it as well and with as much love and attention as we could, but unfortunately that run is over. All good things must end. And now it’s time for new owners, with a new concept and a new outlook to start a new endeavor. Patchogue is nothing if not ever changing!

We thank everyone whose ever given this wonky concept we made a chance, who grabbed a drink or 4 with us, and who’ve met great people in turn- and we ask them to be open minded to the future. Change is sometimes hard, we more than anyone else appreciate that fact. But without change, nothing new comes. And new ain’t too bad!
