Officials To Build New $150K Walkway At Davis Park
The pathway will give the public access to the beach located on private property.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY - Suffolk County officials announced plans to build a $150,000 walkway at Davis Park in Fire Island, according to a report in Newsday. The path will be built at the end of Donella Walk to connect guests to the beach.
The funding for the walkway was approved by the Suffolk County legislature last month, but a construction date has not yet been announced, Newsday reports.
Local legislator Rob Calarco (D-Patchogue) told Newsday the pathway is meant to give the public access to the beach, which is located on private property.
