Police: Pair Arrested After Burglarizing Medford Assisted Living Facility
Employee saw the pair break-in while monitoring real-time security footage, police say.

Two people were arrested following a burglary at Medford assisted living facility early Saturday morning, police said.
Fifth Precinct officers responded to The Hamlet at Medford, located at 1529 North Ocean Ave., after a 911 call from an employee, who was monitoring real-time security footage and saw a man and woman enter through a rear door and steal food and commercial cookware shortly after 2 a.m.
Officers arrested Allison Brown, 44, of Coram, at the scene. Following an investigation, Dwayne Murphy, who is homeless, was later arrested in Central Islip, police said.

Brown and Murphy are each charged with one count of third degree burglary. Murphy is also charged with first degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Brown was scheduled for arraignment Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip. Murphy will be held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.
