VIDEO: Bellone, Officials On Closing Old Inlet Breach

Suffolk County officials called for the closing of the breach at Old Inlet on Fire Island at a press conference held Wednesday at Shorefront Park in Patchogue Village.

"We want that breach to be closed now," Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone said. "We've seen flooding in places that have never been flooded before, and I think without question the answer is now that we need to close this breach."
