WATCH: Video of Fleeing SUV That Killed Pedestrian in East Patchogue
Police released the surveillance footage Tuesday.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY - Suffolk Police have released video of a suspect and his vehicle that struck and killed a 64-year-old East Patchogue man on Sunday.
The surveillance footage, released early Tuesday morning, from a nearby business clearly shows the fleeing SUV on Main Street with damage to its hood.
According to police, Warren Karstendick was walking on the eastbound shoulder of Main Street, just west of Phyllis Drive, when he was struck by the vehicle at about 6:55 a.m.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned male. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a 2002 to 2005 blue Ford Explorer with noticeable front end damage, specifically to the vehicle’s hood and grill.
Police are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6553 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
