Harckham, LG Delgado and Mayor Picinich Discuss Mt. Kisco Improvements

New York State Senator Pete Harckham met with Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado and Mount Kisco Mayor Gina Picinich at Mount Kisco Town Hall this week for a discussion of recent improvement projects, ongoing challenges and plans for further enhancements around the village and town. Along with Mount Kisco Village Manager Edward Brancati, Governor Hochul’s Lower Hudson Valley Regional Representative Brandon Lloyd and staff members, the three lawmakers also walked around Mount Kisco’s downtown while continuing their discussions and stopping to visit the owners of a newly opened local business.

“Senator Harckham and Mount Kisco Mayor Gina Picinich gave me an informative tour of downtown Mount Kisco to visit local businesses and view their downtown revitalization efforts at work,” said Lieutenant Governor Delgado. “They were able to fill me in on some infrastructure needs and projects that are in the works to continue to build on the great accomplishments they’ve already achieved.”

Mayor Picinich said, “We are so pleased to welcome Lieutenant Governor Delgado to Mount Kisco with our State Senator, Pete Harckham. Taking time to discuss the opportunities and successes in our community demonstrates their commitment to understand and work with local municipalities and strengthens our partnership for the benefit of all. Mount Kisco appreciates their continued advocacy and support on our behalf.

The lawmakers stopped on South Moger Avenue at Lorena’s Juice & Snack Bar, which opened three months ago, and spoke with husband-and-wife owners Jefferson Curipoma and Lorena Zuaso.

“I was happy to facilitate Lieutenant Governor Delgado’s visit today so he could walk around Mount Kisco and see first-hand that the village is growing and continuing to improve its downtown business area,” said Senator Harckham. “I look forward to working together with officials here to strengthen the local economy, foster community engagement and keep building the momentum here.”

In the past few years Harckham has helped Mount Kisco secure a number of state grants to assist in its improvement efforts. Most notable is funding for recreation facilities and playground equipment, an ADA compliant elevator in Town Hall and hospital renovations.
