In the meantime, I am impressed with the professionalism of the staff and students during this period. The Administration and Staff executed our safety protocols with precision. Their planning paid great dividends.
As I commented earlier this morning, please use this as an opportunity to speak to your children about the severity of these threats and the ripple-effect it has throughout our entire school community.
We take these threats very seriously and will continue to partner with the appropriate agencies to keep our students safe.
Thank you for your understanding.

ORIGINAL POST: Hendrick Hudson school district Superintendent Joseph Hochreiter sent an email to parents at 2:20 p.m. about a police investigation at Hendrick Hudson High School that has also affected Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School.
βAs a follow up to earlier communication regarding vandalism at the high school, the State Police is actively investigating recent developments, these include a threatening phone call received in the high school main office starting around 1 p.m. At the request of the State Police and to assist in the investigation, the State Police recommended a lock down at the high school and Frank G. Lindsey due to its proximity. Obviously dismissal and transportation will be impacted. We hope to lift the lock down in short order based on information from the State Police. More details will be shared with you as they become available. Thank you for your cooperation.β
Vandalism overnight at the high schoolβand the theft of a computerβwas just the latest in a string of incidents in the district, including vandalism at a high school field and a break-in at Frank G. Lindsey.
District officials have asked the community to say something if theyβve seen something.
βPlease, if you have children in the district, talk to them about the real costs and consequences of vandalism and theft. Not only are these actions against the law, and punishable, but they also affect the districtβs ability to provide our young citizens with the education they deserve,β Hochreiter wrote in an earlier message to the community.
