• Man charged with animal cruelty charges for knocking senior dog unconscious (halstonmedia.com) — A Peekskill man has been charged with animal cruelty after SPCA Westchester investigators reviewed video of a small senior dog being violently slammed onto a grooming table at a Mount Kisco dog daycare. The employee was immediately fired, faces a court appearance later this month, and officials are urging anyone who suspects animal abuse in Westchester to call the SPCA's confidential hotline.
