PEEKSKILL, NY — Peekskill received a $250,000 grant from New York State for streetscape improvements on the north side of Main Street between Nelson Avenue and North Division Street. To get the project underway, city officials sought bids for inspection services and construction documents. Eight proposals were received.

The staff at City Hall is recommending one of the bids, from Creighton Manning LLP, saying the Albany-based firm's proposal was the most reasonable, cost-effective and comprehensive. It includes preparation of the construction documents for $27,885, with $11,425 for inspection services.

The balance of the grant would be used to construct the project, Director of Planning Jean Friedman wrote.
