Peekskill Man Indicted In Fatal May Robbery

The victim was found dead in a car on Paulding Street.

PEEKSKILL, NY — Michael Jenkins, accused of shooting and killing Emmanuel Jordan in Peekskill in May, has been indicted on multiple charges by a Grand Jury, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced Wednesday.

The 21-year-old was arraigned via video conference before Judge David Zuckerman.

  • 2 counts of Murder in the Second Degree, a class A felony
  • 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class C felony
  • 2 counts of Robbery in the First Degree, a class B felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a class D felony

Bail was set at $500,000 cash/bond or $5 million partially secured bond. The Peekskill resident's next court date is scheduled for Nov. 4.

Emmanuel Jordan of Mohegan Lake was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds early in the morning of May 9, when Peekskill police responded to a call about a man not moving in a car on Paulding Street.

Police began an investigation with the assistance of the District Attorney's Office High Technology Unit.

Prosecutors allege that Jenkins met Jordan Friday evening on Paulding Street and robbed and murdered him.
