Another Drug Dealing Target Nabbed by Peekskill PD
John Kingsley, 22, of Peekskill, was charged with third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, on June 30 at 5:20 p.m. Kingsley, who was wanted for the sale of cocaine as part of the was arrested after being observed on the 900 block of Garfield Avenue. He was held for arraignment in Westchester County Court.

Driving While Texting and Drunk

Peter Davenport, 33, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged with driving while intoxicated on July 5 at 3:20 a.m. on Route 9 at Main Street. Davenport was charged following a single car accident after it was determined he was operating under the influence of alcohol. Davenport’s blood alcohol level was .12%. In addition, Davenport was issued a summons for texting while driving after it was learned that he had been texting on a cellular telephone just prior to the accident. Davenport was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Peekskill City Court on July 7 at 11 a.m.
Montrose Resident Charged with DWI after an Accident
Bernard J. Jankowsky, 53, of Montrose, was arrested on July 2 at 4:30 a.m. on Route 9A in the Town of Cortlandt for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Following a property damage auto accident investigation Jankowsky was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. At state police Cortlandt barracks he gave a positive breath sample of .20 percent blood alcohol level. The defendant was issued 4 uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Cortlandt Town Court on July 15 at 9:00 a.m.
Sleeping in James Street Garage with Cocaine
On June 28 at 7:50 a.m. Julio Morales, 37, of Garrison was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, at the James Street Parking Garage. Officer Steve Zappolo observed Morales sleeping in the stairwell of the parking garage and found Morales to be in possession of a small baggie of cocaine. Morales was taken into custody and held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.
PCP on Main Street
Dajuan Shealy, 26, of Tarrytown, was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, on the 900 block of Main Street in Peekskill on June 28 at 6:55 p.m. Officers observed Shealy acting irrationally and disorderly on Main Street and he was found to be under the influence and in possession of PCP. He was taken into custody and held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.
Assault
Edward Reeves, 69, of Peekskill was charged with third degree assault, a misdemeanor on June 29 at 7:30 p.m. at police headquarters. Reeves was charged following a dispute with a female acquaintance whom he struck in the face causing her minor injuries. Reeves was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.
