Pete Harckham Has to Go!

State Senator Pete Harckham and his radical agenda need to go! He supports the "unequal rights amendment", better known as Proposition 1. He also supports the disastrous Congestion Pricing Tax proposal that wasted more than half a billion dollars in taxpayer funds for license plate readers that will now likely never be used. The senator threatened to cut off all state funding for local public schools with mascots he deemed offensive. He supports NY being a sanctuary state. He also supported the natural gas ban on new residential construction in large swaths of the state and backed a law that all new vehicles in New York have to be electric by 2035, regardless of whether people want them or can afford them.

Meeting with severe pushback, he has temporarily walked back his support for many of these outlandish plans. But, in typical fashion, he comes back to his home district with boatloads of grant money just before election time. He recently announced $2.3million in grants that he claims will help residents without impacting local taxes. Newsflash: grants are funded by taxes!
