Registered Sex Offender Accused of New Crime in Cortlandt
He received probation the first time he was accused of criminal sexual contact with a child.

CORTLANDT, NY – A Level 2 sex offender living in Verplanck faces accusations of sexual conduct with a teenage boy. New York state police arrested Kenneth Brody April 22 and charged him with three felony counts of Criminal Sexual Act in the 2nd Degree. Brody is the third registered sex offender in Westchester to be accused of a repeat sex crime in the past two months.
State police from the Cortlandt barracks said they arrested Brody after partnering with the Westchester County Child Advocacy Center to investigate a sexual offense reported to NYSP. They allege that their detailed investigation found that Brody, currently a Level 2 sex offender, subjected a teenage boy under the age of 15 to sexual contact on several occasions in the Town of Cortlandt.
Brody was first arrested in 1992 in Greenburgh and accused of having sexual contact with an 8-year-old boy, according to the state's Sex Offender Registry. He was sentenced to five years probation. He was put on the Registry at Level 2, moderate risk of repeat offense.
