Weigh In On How To Close Nuclear Power Plants

The best way to deal with the closure of Indian Point, a big concern for local officials, is an issue that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission is looking into on a broader basis. The NRC staff will hold a webinar on Nov. 19 to provide interested members of the public another opportunity to comment on best practices for decommissioning community advisory boards.

The webinar is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Eastern time with participants able to view slides prepared by NRC staff and ask questions both verbally and in writing via a web page set up to host the session.
