Hudson Valley Singer, Ukulele Player to Return to 'America's Got Talent'
The 12-year-old was called by super-critical judge Simon Cowell "the next Taylor Swift."

SUFFERN, NY — The 12-year-old ukulele player and singer that wowed the judges of “America’s Got Talent” will appear on the program again in August.
Grace VanderWaal of Suffern tweeted that she will be appearing August 23 in a semifinalist round.
According to her bio on the “America’s Got Talent” website, VanderWaal began making up songs at the age of 3.

She bought herself a ukulele for her 11th birthday and performed her first concert two weeks later for her family.

VanderWaal sang an original song July 7—“I Don’t Know My Name”—that led judge Howie Mandel to hit the Golden Buzzer, that automatically signals a contestant will appear in the live performance semifinals.

She was asked to be the opening act for the Ramapo Summer Concert Series in July.
