• Support the Pelham Examiner and its dual mission of serving our community, and providing our staff with hands-on journalism training (pelhamexaminer.com) — Pelham residents are being asked to support the nonprofit Pelham Examiner so it can keep covering everything from village elections and trustee meetings to storms, fires, and beloved community events. The paper also trains local student journalists, giving them real reporting experience while maintaining an independent news source focused squarely on Pelham's daily life and big milestones.
   

• Pelham Art Center continues its Arts Social Series this fall with music, costume portraits and figure drawing (pelhamexaminer.com) — Pelham Art Center is rolling out a free fall Art Social Series, including outdoor Music Night, a Halloween-themed Costume Portrait Parade, and low-pressure figure drawing sessions right in town. Residents can join for creative evenings on Fifth Avenue, with some events free and others $30, and opportunities for teens needing portfolio experience with a parent waiver.
   

• PMHS varsity football squad roars out of the gate this season with two lopsided wins; will face Briarcliff at Memorial Field on Friday (pelhamexaminer.com) — Pelham Memorial High School's varsity football team has opened the season 2-0 with convincing home wins over Tappan Zee and Walter Panas, outscoring opponents by 57 points. Local fans can now look ahead to Friday night's home matchup against Briarcliff at Memorial Field, where the Pelicans will try to stay atop Section One Class B.
