Pelham Seeks Input In Principal, Asst. Principal Search
Needing to replace the Pelham Memorial High School principal and vice-principal, district officials have a survey online and a forum set.

PELHAM, NY — Needing to replace both the principal and vice-principal at Pelham Memorial High School, district officials are asking for parent input into the search. They've put a survey online.
Principal Jeannine Clark and Assistant Principal Judd Rothstein are retiring this summer.
"Recognizing that these positions will touch the lives of every student who comes through the Pelham Public Schools, we are seeking feedback from parents and community members to better understand what qualities and characteristics are most important for the next leaders of our high school," said Superintendent of Schools Cheryl Champ in a letter to the community.

District officials ask survey-takers to also take some time to read and assign stars to at least 10 thoughts of others.
As a reminder, the thoughts you share will be seen by others and we ask that you refrain from
including any personally identifying information in what you write. The results will help us create
a leadership profile to guide our search process for these positions. The Thoughexchange
session will be closed at midnight Feb. 4.

The district will also hold an open forum Jan. 28 to get feedback in person. There will be two sessions: 7:45 a.m. or 7:30 p.m. in room 105E of the PMHS library.
The search process has started. First, the district advertised the positions in regional
and national employment services and publications.
Applications will be screened by district administration and top applicants will be invited to meet with representative groups of administrators, teachers, support staff, parents and students.
Finalists will then be interviewed by the superintendent's cabinet and the recommended candidates will then meet with the Board of Education. We anticipate filling the positions by the end of the school year, ensuring that there is ample time for a smooth transition.
