Armed Man Tries to Rob Hicksville Store, Leaves Empty Handed
The incident occurred Monday night, police said.

A man who tried to rob a Hicksville electronics store with a gun Monday night left empty handed after police said the store clerk refused to comply with the robber’s demands, police said.
According to authorities, a man entered GameStop, located at 285 South Broadway in the Delco Plaza shopping center, locked the front door behind him, approached two employees and demanded cash while displaying a black handgun at 9:15 p.m.
The store clerk refused to hand over money and the robber subsequently unlocked the front door and fled the store without any proceeds, police said. He fled in a black SUV heading in an unknown direction.

Two employees, a 25-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, were the only people inside the store at the time of the incident. No injures were reported.
Police described the attempted robber as black, between the age of 20-25, 6 feet 1 inch tall and wearing a dark-colored face mask.
