Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint in Hicksville

The robbery occurred Sunday night, police said.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Hicksville gas station Sunday night.

According to authorities, a man armed with a black handgun entered the BP gas station, located at 325 Jerusalem Ave., and verbally demanded money at 9:11 p.m.

The man fled the scene on foot eastbound on 11th Street with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

Police described the robber as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 150 pounds and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
