Man Robs East Farmingdale Bank

The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon, police said.

EAST FARMINGDALE, NY— Police are looking to identify the man who robbed an East Farmingdale bank Tuesday afternoon.

According to authorities, a man entered Bethpage Federal Credit Union, located at 1033 Route 109, and handed a teller a note demanding cash at 2:17 p.m.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the robber, who then fled the bank in a westbound direction on foot.

Police described the man as black, approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build, and wearing a gray hooded-sweatshirt, sunglasses and dark pants.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
