BHS Sophomores Shine at Westlake Science Fair
Along with its better half, the Somers Science Fair, Westlake is the only science research competition of its kind in NY

This year, 365 science research students from 16 high schools participated and Briarcliff was represented by 35 competing students. Along with the "sister fair" in Somers, Westlake is the only science research competition of its kind in NY that provides the opportunity for first-year science research students to present their intended research design in a formal setting*.
Melissa Carnahan, BHS teacher added, "Please join us in congratulating our 2018 Westlake Science Fair winners!"

*For those who follow the high school science research circuit, Westlake was the original Science Fair for the sophomores to have their first competition to gear them up and give them experience in a competition setting. The fair has gotten so large that last year the fair split between Westlake and Somers.
