BMPD: Driver Arrested After Ignoring Crossing Guard

The following is from the Briarcliff Manor Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A man believed to have driven a vehicle that ignored signals from a officer working as a school crossing guard has been placed under arrest, the department reported.

At approximately 8:22 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, police reported a driver drove past a crossing guard on Pleasantville Road after the officer motioned for traffic to halt.

Police noted the car was a gold Toyota.

The following morning at approximately the same time, police on stationary patrol saw the same vehicle and pulled it over.

The driver, a 26-year-old Mohegan Lake man, was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended license. He is due in Briarcliff Manor Court on February 29.
