Boil Water Advisory Issued in Pleasantville
The move follows Sunday night's water main break.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY - A boil water advisory has been issued in Pleasantville following Sunday night’s water main break, according to village and county officials.
The advisory “will remain in effect at least through Wednesday, December 9, 2015 and until further notice as a precautionary measure.”
Residences and businesses on the following streets are affected:

- Booth Street (Numbers: 8, 9 and 10)
- Castleton Street (Numbers: 99, and 134)
- Frances Street (Number 15)
- Marble Avenue (Numbers: 160, 172, 175, 181, 185, 191, 192, 193, 197, 200, 201, 210, 220, 326 and 479)
- Stanley Street (Numbers: 2, 3, 4, 8, and 9)
“A boil water advisory means that those in the affected area are strongly advised to boil all tap water at a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute prior to drinking it or using it to prepare food, wash dishes by hand or brush teeth,” said officials in a statement. “The advisory does not extend to bathing, washing clothes or using a dishwasher.”
Sunday’s water main break on Marble Avenue was discovered Sunday night at about 11 p.m.
