Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Daughter Arrested for Taking Mother's Car

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the  from July 16 — 22, 2012.

Sunday, July 22

2:13 p.m. — Police were called to an Ash Road residence where a dispute was reportedly taking place. When police arrived at the scene, the argument had ceased. A report of the incident was filed.

Saturday, July 21

6:14 p.m. — A Sleepy Hollow Road resident report the home's mailbox had been damaged sometime overnight.

1:58 p.m. — A woman called police and reported her adult daughter had started "acting up" in the car on the way to the Bronx Zoo and was kicking the back of her seat. Police responded to the vehicle and stayed at the scene until the daughter calmed down.

Friday, July 20

10:15 a.m. — A Sleepy Hollow Road resident reported the home's mailbox had been damaged.

Thursday, July 19

1:09 p.m.  — A Sleepy Hollow Road resident reported that while he was away, his daughter had hosted a party at the home. He stated there were items missing from the residence and the pool had been damaged.

Wednesday, July 18

6:13 p.m. — A potential residential burglary was reported to police by a Dogwood Close resident. The homeowner reported it appeared someone had entered the home using a sliding glass door in the rear and took unspecified items from the home. The incident remains under investigation.

6:05 p.m. — Two vehicles were involved in an accident on Route 9. The two drivers exchanged information at the scene.

10:59 a.m. — Two vehicles were involved in an accident on Deer Tree Lane. The two drivers exchanged information at the scene.

12:54 a.m. — Police went to the home of a Briarcliff Manor resident to interview him as a suspect  in the area, including Ossining.

From Ossining Police: "To date we have had seven burglaries in July. The most recent reported ones resulted in arrests of two youths eligible for youthful offender status. Those cases were July 17."

12:49 a.m. — A Law Road resident called police and reported she believes her daughter had taken her car without permission to visit a friend in Yonkers. The daughter was found in Yonkers and arrested by city police for possession of stolen property.

Monday, July 16

10:58 a.m. — Police responded to the village pool, where a 48-year-old resident was upset that he was asked to pay a $10 guest fee because he did not have his pool pass. He was reportedly "belligerent to pool personnel." Pool staff said he was the second time he had engaged in a dispute over the matter.
