Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Dispute at Post Office; Overnight Larceny

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the Briarcliff Manor Police Department from Oct. 8 to 14, 2012.

Saturday, Oct. 13

6:10 p.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Pleasantville Road and arrested the driver, a 21-year-old Putnam Valley man, for allegedly speeding and driving with a suspended license. He was transported to police headquarters for processing and released on $100 bail. He is due back in court on October 24.

10:43 a.m. — Police responded to the Post Office where a woman was reportedly arguing with an employee over passport photos. The woman ultimately decided to get the photos somewhere else, police said.

12:10 a.m. — Police received a call from the Landmark Diner manager, who requested assistance with an unwanted patron. Police responded and escorted the person off-premise without incident.

Friday, Oct. 12

11:39 a.m. — Police responded to scene of a one-car accident on Route 9A near Pleasantville Road. Read more here.

7:31 a.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Route 9A and arrested a 38-year-old Bohemia, NY, man for allegedly driving a vehicle with a suspended registration.

Wednesday, Oct. 10

5:59 p.m. — A Briarbrook Drive resident called police and stated that her neighbor's dog, when off least, had charged at her. She stated the dog was called back by its owner before it reached, but she said there have been multiple instances of the dog acting aggressive toward her.

Monday, Oct. 8

3:43 p.m. — Police stopped a vehicle in the northbound lanes of Route 9 and arrested the driver, a 41-year-old Mount Kisco man, for an alleged vehicle and traffic offense. He was released from headquarters on $100 bail and is due back in court on October 24.

7:06 a.m. — A Pleasantville Road gas station employee reported that a blue work van has been broken into sometime overnight. The caller said items including a generator, nail gun, bag of tools, gas can and cordless drill had been taken from the van. The items were last seen on October 5. The detective is investigating the alleged larceny.
