Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Hit and Run in Parking Lot; Suspended License Arrests

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the from Feb. 6 — 12, 2012.
Sunday, Feb. 12
9:32 p.m. — Police stopped a vehicle heading south on Route 9A and arrested the driver, a 21-year-old Peekskill woman, for driving with a suspended license. The car's registration was also allegedly suspended. The woman was released on $100 bail and is due in court on February 29.

1:45 p.m. — A Whitson Road resident reported the home's mailbox had been damaged overnight.
Saturday, Feb. 11

8:46 a.m. — An Alder Drive resident reported the home's mailbox had been damaged overnight.
Friday, Feb. 10
4:09 p.m. — A man reported finding an abandoned mountain bike near . Police secured the bike in a garage at headquarters for safekeeping.
8:15 a.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Route 9 after it allegedly blocked an intersection. The driver, a 42-year-old Peekskill man, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. His vehicle was impounded and he is due in court on February 29.
Thursday, Feb. 9
8:10 p.m. — A man called police and reported his car had been struck by another vehicle while it was parked, unoccupied, in front of on North State Road earlier in the evening. He reported a man had walked into the store and reported the incident, stating an SUV driven by a woman had hit the vehicle and left the area. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the owner discovered damage to the front bumper and grill. The Chocolate Chalet owner reported the incident was recorded on surveillance cameras and said he would follow up with police.
Tuesday, Feb. 7
11:14 a.m. — A Purdys Court resident reported the home's mailbox had been damaged overnight.
11:12 a.m. — A Cottonwood Lane resident reported the home's mailbox had been damaged overnight.
8:17 a.m. — Police pulled over a vehicle driving east on Pleasantville Road after recognizing it was the same vehicle 's motions to stop the day prior. The driver, a 26-year-old Mohegan Lake man, told police he had not seen the officer's gestures until it was too late to stop. He was then arrested for driving with a suspended license. His vehicle was towed from the scene and he was taken to headquarters for processing. He was released on his own recognizance and is due in court on February 29.
