Briarcliff Manor Police Blotter: Man Witnesses Leafblower Larceny; Snoring Complaint

Sunday, April 22
5:30 p.m. — A Birch Road resident reported her mailbox had been ripped from the ground overnight and thrown on her lawn. She reported her garden house had also gone missing. A report was filed.

Friday, April 20
4:33 p.m. — A resident reported solicitors were going door-to-door on Larch Road. Police discovered the solicitors did not have a permit. The suspects agreed to cease their activities.

Thursday, April 19
3:58 a.m. — A dispute between neighbors was reported on Schrade Road. Police reported one neighbor was complaining the other was snoring too loud.
Wednesday, April 18
7:50 p.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Route 9 and arrested a 29-year-old Peekskill man for allegedly driving with a suspended license and vehicle registration. He was processed and released at headquarters on $100 bail. The vehicle was impounded and its license plates were surrendered.
4:56 p.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Route 117 and arrested a 47-year-old Ossining man for allegedly driving a vehicle with a suspended registration. Police additionally reported his license is suspended. The man was transported to police headquarters and released on $100 bail. The vehicle's license plates were confiscated.
11:28 p.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Route 9 and arrested a 25-year-old Beacon man for allegedly driving a car with a suspended registration. He is also accused of driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was towed from the scene, license plates surrendered and the man was processed in police headquarters and released on $100 bail.
6:31 p.m. — A man called police and reported witnessing a man and woman pull up in a car on Chappaqua Road near the Route 9A intersection and steal a leafblower from a landscaping truck. The man said the couple then fled the scene and drove onto Route 9A. A report was filed.
Tuesday, April 17
7:12 p.m. — A minor brush fire was reported at on Scarborough Road. The condition was corrected by responders.
3:34 p.m. — Police responded to North State Road, where a resident reported finding an unknown liquid—identified possibly as dog urine—inside a child's wagon. A report was taken.
